CFO, Vital Farms open Local Impact Grantmaking Program

April 2, 2026

Program’s second year has $125,000 available to support agriculture

For a second year, Vital Farms is supporting a grant program administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The Vital Farms Local Impact Grantmaking Program reflects the company’s purpose to improve the lives of people, animals and the planet through food and a commitment to supporting the communities where its network of more than 600 small farms call home.

With $125,000 available in the grant program, Vital Farms will support projects that improve its farmers’ communities in four focus areas:

  • Animal Welfare
  • Improving Access to Food/Transparency in Food Systems
  • Youth & Education
  • Agriculture

The program is open to 501(c)3 nonprofits or organizations with similar tax-exempt status serving 22 counties in which Vital Farms’ farmers operate throughout Missouri: Adair, Bates, Benton, Cedar, Cooper, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Howard, Howell, Laclede, Lawrence, Moniteau, Morgan, Oregon, Pettis, Polk, St. Clair, Texas, Vernon, Webster and Wright counties. Supported by the Vital Farms Corporate Grantmaking Fund held by the CFO, the program will close at 11:45 p.m. on May 14.

Last year, the first Vital Farms Local Impact Grantmaking Program provided $127,474 to nine agencies for projects including farmers markets, community gardens and agriculture education.
