Student-led philanthropy to grant $10,000 to youth projects
The Springfield City Youth Empowerment Project Grant Program is now open for application from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks to support projects that improve the lives of young people in Springfield and creative opportunities for them to learn, grow, connect and thrive.
A total of $10,000 is available with maximum requests of $2,500. Public charities with 501(c)3 or similar nonprofit status serving Springfield-area youth may apply by 11:45 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2027.
Agencies can begin the application process at cfozarks.org/applyforgrants. For more information about this and other grant programs, visit cfozarks.org/find-grants.
High school students participating in the Springfield City YEP chapter will review the applications and select the recipients, which will be announced in April 2027.
YEP, a long-running youth philanthropy program supported by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, gives junior and high school students the opportunity to make a positive impact in their communities, learn about philanthropy, volunteer and participate in local grantmaking. In addition to the Springfield City chapter, the CFO supports YEP chapters in 18 rural school districts. Learn more at cfozarks.org/yep.
