Jon K. Rust is publisher of the Southeast Missourian in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and president of Rust Communications, which includes 15 newspapers along with magazines, websites and minority ownership of 17 radio stations in the rural Midwest. He is a former vice-chair of the Associated Press and co-founder of the tech company, PubGen.ai He holds degrees from Harvard Business School, UNC-Chapel Hill and the Pushkin Institute in Moscow, Russia. He and his wife Dr. Victoria Vygodskaia-Rust have four daughters.
