Community Foundation of West Plains' The Impact Grantmaking Program

As a giving circle dedicated to the West Plains area, The Impact brings like-minded individuals together by pooling their donations, inspiring a collective philanthropic impact. The Impact is excited to award grants to address priority needs in the West Plains area. Grant decisions for this program are made by The Impact group affiliated with the Community Foundation of West Plains.  

Grant proposals are accepted according to an announced timetable, and grant recommendations are made as funds are available. 501(c)3 organizations or other IRS approved entities (government entities, school districts and churches) serving the West Plains area are eligible to apply.

Meramec Regional Affiliate Grantmaking Program

Up to $1,000 |Due by: February 2, 2026

The Meramec Regional Community Foundation works to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Maries, Osage, Phelps, Pulaski, and Washington counties area through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. 501(c)3 organizations or other IRS approved entities (government entities, school districts and churches) serving the aforementioned area are eligible to apply.
 

• Applicants who serve Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Maries, Osage, Phelps, Pulaski, and/or Washington counties are encouraged to apply.
• They will grant according to the following preferences: (1) Up to $1,000 for an economic development related project; (2) Up to $1,000 for a project addressing the needs of at-risk children or providing support to a community cause or need.
• Agency applicants may apply for up to $1,000.

Musgrave Multi-Year Impact Grants: Resilient Families RFP

$300,000.00 |Due by: February 17, 2026

The Musgrave Foundation seeks to fund programs that deliver high-impact services to families in the Springfield, Missouri MSA, with a focus on education, support and prevention. These programs should build family resiliency, empower and educate parents, and improve developmental, educational and social outcomes for children.
Total budget: $300,000 will be dedicated to this effort in 2026; up to $800,000 over a three-year effort may be used.

Eligible organizations:

• Lead applicant agencies must be nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations, government entities, school districts or tax-exempt faith-based organizations.
• Primary applicant organizations must provide supportive services in the Springfield, Missouri MSA (Greene, Christian, Dallas, Polk and Webster counties).
• Eligible proposals must primarily focus on Greene County but can include work occurring in the Springfield, Missouri MSA.
• Proposed annual requests cannot represent more than 25% of the organization’s annual budget.
• Eligible agencies must not be current recipients of another Musgrave Multi-Year grant program (Opportunities to Thrive or Keys to Housing).

Coover/Rural Schools Partnership Celebrate Rural Schools Grant Program

$100,000.00 |Due by: March 12, 2026

The Louis L. and Julia Dorothy Coover Foundation, a partnership between Community Foundation of the Ozarks and The Commerce Trust Company is proud to offer the Celebrate Rural Schools grant program, which will support projects that celebrate, strengthen, and elevate the unique identity of rural schools and the communities they serve. This grant supports projects that celebrate the unique culture, achievements, and identity of rural schools and their communities. It encourages districts to amplify local voices, showcase student success, and strengthen community connections. Hope for the Journey Foundation for Cancer Treatment Support

The Hope for the Journey Foundation provides non-medical financial support to patients facing a life-altering cancer journey and their families. Applications for assistance are based on current or ongoing consequences of treatment related to cancer and will be evaluated by a committee after completion of this form and verification from your health care provider concerning your cancer status. Preference is given to those residing in Greene, Christian, Taney, Stone, Barry, Lawrence, and Newton counties. The maximum amount available is $1,000. Information provided in this application is strictly confidential and will be used only for the purpose of grant-making by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The CFO pays to invoice only. Cash will not be provided.

The Inclusion & Belonging Grant Program supports small grant requests to ensure inclusive participation and engagement in local communities.
