for the 2009-10 academic year
IMPORTANT!
It is the scholarship recipient’s responsibility to request renewal, and provide all required documentation to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks by the proper deadline.
Please note all DEADLINE dates are not the same.
This directory lists all renewals for two, three and four-year scholarships. The amounts are not listed. Please refer to your original award letter for the specific scholarship amount. [Scholarships and amounts subject to change.] If you are renewing multiple scholarships, a Renewal Application must be submitted for each individual scholarship.

Matt Abraham Memorial Scholarship
Renewals based on amount available to spend (ATS) and maintaining a 3.0 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

The Hearld and Marge Ambler Scholarship
Renewal only for 2009-10. You may request yearly renewal (not guaranteed). Renewal based on amount available to spend (ATS) maintaining a 3.0 GPA and continued employment preferred. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

* Dr. Thomas E. and Mary M. Ashley Medical School Scholarship
You may request yearly renewal, (not guaranteed) if you continue to attend the University of Missouri, and are a student “in good standing” as documented by a signed letter from the Dean or Financial Aid Coordinator. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

* Dr. Thomas E. and Mary M. Ashley Nursing School Scholarship
You may request yearly renewal, (not guaranteed) if you have maintained a 3.0 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

J. Kenneth Awbery and Iva M. Awbery Scholarship
The 2009-10 Awbery scholarship is non-renewable; prior recipients may continue to request renewal one year at a time, as long as you maintain a 2.5 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Anita Barnes Memorial Scholarship
Renewals based on amount available to spend (ATS) and maintaining a 2.5 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

The Chris Bell Memorial Scholarship
The 2009-10 Bell scholarship is non-renewable; prior recipients may continue to request renewal through graduate school, providing you maintain a 3.0 G.P.A. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Doc and Bonnie Bender Scholarship
The Bender Scholarship amount will vary, and renewals are based upon maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

John C. Bounous Scholarship
The 2009-10 Bounous is non-renewable; renewals are based on availability of funds (ATS), and the recipient’s maintaining a 2.5 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

J.K. Burney Scholarship
The 2009-10 Burney scholarship is non-renewable; prior recipients may continue to request renewal, dependent upon the amount available to spend (ATS), and the recipient’s maintaining a 3.0 GPA. Curtis Rex Carter Science Scholarship
This scholarship award may be renewed, dependent upon the amount available to spend, and the recipient’s maintaining a 2.8 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

James D. and Mary L. Crafton Scholarship
This scholarship may be renewable, one semester at a time; dependent upon the amount available to spend (ATS) and the recipient’s maintaining a 3.5 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester , ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.[IMPORTANT! Doris Lorayne Sims Easley Scholarship
This scholarship award may be renewed, yearly, dependent upon the amount available to spend, and the recipient’s maintaining a 2.5 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Greater Ozarks Chapter of National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses Scholarship
You may request yearly renewal, (not guaranteed) depending on availability of funds (ATS), and proof of satisfactory progress. You must remain a full-time student. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Thomas Halbert Scholarship
You may request yearly renewal, (not guaranteed) depending on availability of funds (ATS), and the recipient’s continued enrollment in a Springfield, MO nursing school with proof of satisfactory progress. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Geraldine Haldiman Scholarship
Renewals only for 2009-10. The Haldiman Scholarship is renewable, one year at a time, as long as you maintain a 2.0 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Hanks-Wilson Ozark High School Scholarship

O.G. James Scholarship
As of Spring 2009 – Contact the Counseling Office at Eldon High School for Renewals
This scholarship is renewable for three (3) years providing recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Ruby Knutson and Esther Miles Scholarship
The 2009-10 Knutson/Miles scholarships are non-renewable; prior recipients may continue to request renewal, one year at a time, as long as you maintain a 2.0 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. John H. and Ruby M. Laurie Charitable Fund
Renewals only for 2009-10. A two-year scholarship, Laurie amounts are variable. The recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Dr. Mary King Long Scholarship
This scholarship may be renewed dependent on availability of funds (ATS), and the recipient’s satisfactory academic progress. Your FAFSA-EFC must be submitted yearly. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Dr. Joe McAdoo Southwest Missouri Public Relations Society (PRSA) Scholarship
You may request yearly renewal, (not guaranteed) if you have maintained satisfactory progress. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Dennis Miller Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is renewable for three (3) years providing recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. This is a 2-year scholarship and is renewable the second year, providing you maintain a 2.5 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Renewals only for 2009-10. A four-year scholarship, renewals are dependent upon recipient’s satisfactory academic achievement. Renewal only for 2009-10. A four-year scholarship, Abbott is renewable as long as you maintain satisfactory academic status. Stockton Public Schools Foundation Korth Scholarship
Renewals only for 2009-10. The Korth Scholarship is renewable for three (3) years, providing recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

* Henry J. and Lucille J. Straus Scholarship
The 2009-10 Straus scholarship is non-renewable; prior recipients may continue to request renewal for three (3) years, providing you remain an unmarried undergraduate; have good scholastic record; not discriminate or make derogatory remarks or statements of anyone’s religion; continue to show qualities of leadership, sincerity and integrity; attend a private college and participate in activities other than scholastic. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

* Henry Joseph Struck Memorial Scholarship
The 2009-10 Struck scholarship is non-renewable; prior recipients may continue to request renewal for three (3) years as long as you maintain a 3.0 GPA, and submit a yearly written narrative describing what you have learned about yourself through your college experience and/or how you have changed/grown during that academic year. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

* Arthur G. Tesar Scholarship
Renewals only for the 2009-10 academic year. A four-year scholarship, Tesar may be renewed as long as the student maintains satisfactory progress toward a degree/diploma/certificate and maintains a 3.0 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Bill Wallis Scholarship
The Wallis Scholarship varies in renewal amounts (see your original award letter.) Regardless of which scholarship you were awarded, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.8. As an employee, dependent of employee, or dealer/vendor, you must be actively employed or doing business with Wallis Companies at the time your grades are submitted; unless you were an employee who is now attending college on a full-time basis. If your parent is no longer an employee/dealer when 2.8 GPA is submitted, the decision to renew will be determined on a case by case basis by the selection committee. If you do not intend to renew the Wallis Scholarship consecutively during a four year period, special permission must be requested from the selection committee prior to the beginning of the academic year. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Theodore Winge Scholarship

The Winge Scholarship renewable for three (3) years, one year at a time, providing the recipient maintains a 2.5 GPA. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.

Glen W. Wisdom Scholarship
A two-year scholarship, Wisdom is renewable the second year providing the student maintains satisfactory academic progress. You must remain a full-time student i.e. enrolled for at least 12 credit hours. Once your completed Renewal Application is received, payment will be made to your student account and scholarship monies applied ½ Fall semester, ½ Spring semester, for the upcoming academic year.
