Formerly the secretary of the Aurora Area Community Foundation, Kim now serves as its coordinator — one of many roles she plays in the community. A full-time educator at Aurora High School, Kim is also the co-director of the Aurora Houn’ Dawg Alumni & Outreach Center, which houses historical displays, showcases murals and provides a traditional setting for events and reunions. She works on a variety of historical projects involving sense of place work, storytelling and murals. She hosts a weekly “All Roads Lead Home” podcast and holds degrees in journalism, English and education.
She helped launch the local giving circle called Hometown Partners and believes strongly in giving your time, talent and resources back to the communities you serve. As a writer and local historian, Kim has a passion for the Ozarks, its colorful people and its rich history — where, at the end of the day — All Roads Lead Home.
She and her husband make their home in rural Barry County. As die-hard Houn’ Dawgs, they have numerous connections to the Aurora, Marionville and Verona communities.
