The Community Foundation of the Ozarks commissioned Habitat Communication & Culture to research the charitable attitudes and behaviors of donors under 40. The CFO commissioned the research in 2023 with support from the Patterson Family Foundation. The research was prompted by the “Giving by Generations” report from the Lilly School of Philanthropy that indicated younger generations gave at a lesser rate than older generations, but did not consider nontraditional giving through platforms like GoFundMe.
