On July 10, heavy rainfall caused extreme flooding in several south central and eastern Missouri counties. The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is supporting immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts through fundraising and grantmaking.

Tax-deductible donations to the Southern Missouri Recovery Fund will be granted to local nonprofits (not individuals) that support immediate needs and long-term recovery efforts of citizens, businesses and communities.

To assist impacted residents of Iron, St. Francois and Washington counties, the CFO has granted $20,000 to East Missouri Action Agency. Community members in those counties who need assistance can call 573-431-5191 or 800-392-8663.

Nonprofits that are distributing funds to individuals impacted by flooding from the July 10 storms are encouraged to contact the CFO at 417-864-6199.
