CFO opens $130,000 Schweitzer Quality of Life grant program

Grantmaking guided by 2026 Community Focus Report

The Jewell Schweitzer Quality of Life Grant Program is now open for application from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Named in memory of the late Springfield philanthropist, the grant program funds innovative solutions to “Red Flags” identified in Community Focus 2026: A Report for the Springfield Ozarks Region.  

A total of $130,000 is available with maximum requests of $30,000. Public charities with 501(c)3 or similar nonprofit status serving Springfield-Greene County may apply by 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 3.
