CFO, Musgrave Foundation request proposals for ‘Resilient Families’

Musgrave multiyear 2026
Jan. 15, 2026

High-impact grants will support family-focused programs in the Springfield metro area

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks, on behalf of the Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation, is requesting proposals from nonprofits that provide high-impact services to families with a focus on education, support and prevention.

With $300,000 available for 2026, the goal of the “Resilient Families” grant program is to support programs in the Springfield metropolitan statistical area of Greene, Christian, Dallas, Polk and Webster counties, with a focus on Greene County. Ideal programs should build family resiliency, empower and educate parents, and improve developmental, educational and social outcomes for children.

Agencies may request up to $100,000 per year for up to three years. One-, two- and three-year proposals, with varying amounts each year, can be submitted. Examples of ideal proposals include:

  • Parenting education workshops
  • Mental health and wellness initiatives for children and families
  • Family literacy programs
  • Prevention education

Agencies can find more details and begin the application process at cfozarks.org/applyforgrants. Initial concept letters are due Feb. 17, and finalists will be notified by March 18. Full proposals will be due April 21, with grants announced in mid-June.

“Resilient Families 2026” is the latest Musgrave Multi-Year Impact grant program. Since 2021, programs have supported projects that address the lack of affordable housing options; sustain agencies serving low-income communities; increase civic participation for K-12 students; improve the lives of children; and support foster families in the Springfield metro area.

The Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation is a private charitable foundation managed by U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management and administered by the CFO. Since 1983, the Musgrave Foundation has granted more than $21 million to nonprofits in Springfield and southwest Missouri.
