In 1993, the Community Foundation of the Ozarks extending its philanthropic resources beyond Springfield and Greene County with the start the Nixa Community Foundation. From the CFO’s growing affiliate foundation network, the Rural Schools Partnership and the nationally recognized Ozarks Teacher Corps was created to strengthen schools as anchors of rural communities.
