Carthage Affiliate Grantmaking Program
Community Development
The Carthage Community Foundation works to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Carthage area through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. Any 501(c)3 public charities or other IRS approved entities (government entities, school districts and churches) serving the Carthage area may make an application to Carthage Community Foundation for its Spring 2026 Community Grant Round. Total amount one applicant can request is $10,000.00.
Guidelines:
- CCF has an interest in supporting organizations and projects which enhance the lives of Carthage residents and provide innovative solutions for existing and emerging community needs.
- Applicant needs to select one area of funding and can only apply once. The areas of funding include: 1 - Health & Human Services, 2 - Education & Youth Services, 3 - Arts, Culture, History & Community Beautification, 4 - Food & Nutrition.
- CCF prefers to provide grants for one-time special projects & capital/equipment purchases, however, the board will also consider general operating expenses if a strong case is made for special circumstances.
- Organizations must provide a clear and itemized project budget along with the application.
- Grants received must be spent within one year of receipt. Recipients will be expected to participate in publicity for the grant, as well as provide a detailed follow-up report after one year.
- Maximum amount one applicant can request is $10,000.00.
