Eligibility Requirements
  1. Salem High School Senior; with preference to students in Agriculture Ed
  2. Senior who has financial need
  3. Senior who has served in a Leadership position in their Chapter, Club, Organization and /or Team
  4. Must have been accepted/enrolled in the post-secondary school of their choice
 
Other Requirements

South Central Polled Hereford Association - was founded in the late 40's early 50's for the purpose of marketing Registered Polled Hereford Cattle.  Founding members include: E.A. Mooney, Max Coffman, F.M. Beasley, Perry Headrick, Lloyd Alley, Albert Norris, Tim and Lela Collins, McKinney Brothers, Cecil Deason and SECO Farms of Caledonia, Missouri.  The Association, over the years, had many members from all across the state of Missouri and conducted 3 purebred sales each year.  The Executive Secretaries managed the sales; E.A. Mooney who was the longest serving, and John Wines the 2nd longest serving.

In 2009 John Wines, Bill Kaczmarek and The Agriculture Education Department of Salem High School established the SCPHA Scholarship, by endowing the Association Funds with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and its affiliate, the Dent County Community Foundation.
