In October 2011, the Ozark Foothills Regional Community Foundation was created to serve Missouri’s Bootheel region. It will include the funds and assets of the Butler County Community Foundation. The Ozark Foothills Regional Community Foundation is a charitable arm of the Ozark Foothills Regional Planning Commission, which is based in Poplar Bluff and covers five counties – Butler, Carter, Reynolds, Ripley and Wayne — and 16 cities in southeast Missouri.
