Grant Preferences
Springfield Metropolitan Grant requests will primarily be awarded to agency proposals that directly provide services for childrens’ “red flag” issues, as identified in the Community Focus: A Report for Springfield and Greene County.
To review this report please visit www.springfieldcommunityfocus.org.
Proposals should :
- Present substantive projects or programs that provide innovative solutions to existing community challenges
- Exhibit multi-agency collaboration, matching support resources, and in-kind commitment
- Articulate measurable goal achievement and tangible outcomes
Proposals reflecting the above standards will optimally range between $20,000 to $40,000.
Please Note:
- Organizations seeking funding for programming previously funded by CFO must demonstrate strong justification (examples - overriding circumstantial factors to justify additional support or ongoing needs identified in the “Community Focus” report)
- Technical (software, hardware) or capacity building (marketing, web/internet access) requests not to exceed $3,000.
Proposals less likely to be considered are:
- Grants to religious institutions, unless program benefits are directed outside the institution’s membership adherents and meet identified community needs.
- Grants for ongoing operational expenses
- Grants for travel or conferences
