New Funds Friday: March 22

Every Friday (or almost every Friday) we share the news of new groups and individuals choosing to make philanthropic gifts and investments in their community. Book and Home Visiting Supplies Fund – Parents as Teachers established this fund to support its work. This is a component of the Benton County Community Foundation.

Bothwell Women’s Health Fund – The Bothwell Regional Health Center Foundation established this capacity fund.

Community Project Fund – This fund will support the work of the Parents as Teachers program of the Warsaw Schools. This is a component of the Benton County Community Foundation, and is a new Agency Partner in the education category.

Convoy of Hope Fund – This fund will help them with their vision of “a driving passion to feed the world.” This is a new Agency Partner in the social services category.

OACAC Dade County Community Building Fund – This fund will support the OACAC –Dade County Neighborhood Center as it raises funds for its building. This is a component of the DACO Community Foundation.

Carla M. Calvin Endowment Fund for the Springfield Symphony – This a fund to support the Springfield Symphony.

Dade County Improvement Group Fund – This fund will support activities and projects aimed at improving communities within Dade County.This is a component fund of the DACO Community Foundation.

Elkland Christian Church Fund – This fund will support the activities of the Elkland Christian Church. This is a component fund of the Marshfield Area Community Foundation, and they are a new Agency Partner in the faith category.

Manning Revocable Trust Fund – F. Howard and Mary Manning established this fund to support their charitable giving in the Lake of the Ozarks area. This is a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Lake.

Dolores and Alden Brooks Memorial Fund – The OTC Foundation established this fund to grant funds for various projects throughout the College.

Crowder College – Greenfield Location Education Fund – This designated capacity fund will support student education at the Greenfield campus/location of Crowder College. This is a component fund of the DACO Community Foundation.

Gerald Elementary School Endowment Fund – This designated endowment fund will support Gerald Elementary School.

Tony Komer Foundation – The Komer family established this family and community fund to help support youth recreational activities in the Clinton area. This is a component fund of the Truman Lake Community Foundation.

Lauren’s Lamb Foundation – Melissa and Lauren Slamb established this family and community fund to help kids around the country do amazing things. Lauren is the advisor (she is 13). Matt McKinsey Memorial Scholarship for Students with Special Needs – The OTC Foundation established this scholarship to benefit a student who demonstrates cognitive difficulties.

Transportation Training Institute Scholarship Fund – This scholarship fund established by the OTC Foundation will benefit students in the transportation training institute program.
