Friday, May 8th, 2009

The Community Foundation of the Hermann Area has successfully completed the Harry Cooper Challenge. The Harry Cooper Challenge is a matching grant program offered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (Springfield, MO) that provides matching funds for local community grant making. In order to meet the challenge, the Community Foundation of the Hermann Area has raised over $27,300. The Cooper Challenge provided a dollar for dollar match to funds raised locally.

The Community Foundation of the Hermann Area received its matching check today from CFO representative Julie Leeth. The permanent endowment of $54,600 will generate ongoing revenue from which grants that benefit the Hermann Area can be made.
