The CFO invited all past and current members of its Board of Directors to a reception honoring their service and kicking off the Foundation’s 40th anniversary year.
Dr. Tom Prater, a former Board president, and his wife, Dr. Kim Prater, hosted the event for about 70 at their Springfield home.
It was an opportunity for many of the board members to catch up and reminisce about the challenges and successes of starting a community foundation from scratch back in 1973.
“We are standing tonight on all of your shoulders,” President Brian Fogle told the group during his informal remarks.
