CFO, OTC Announce $50,000 Challenge Grant

Today the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and Ozarks Technical Community College announced a new $50,000 challenge grant program to supply software and equipment for OTC’s Allied Health Clinical Simulation Center. The CFO will match every dollar raised by the OTC Foundation, up to $25,000, between now and June 30, 2013.
The Allied Health Clinical Simulation Center is a high-fidelity simulation lab that provides training for students in 12 programs at OTC, as well as for a variety of healthcare professionals already in the workforce. You can read the full release from OTC here.
This is the third prong in a three-phase catalyst grant. The first, announced in 2010, focused on a simulator for truck-driver safety training. The second was similar to this matching grant round, as CFO matched $25,000 for the Clinical Simulation Center between February and June of this year.
The CFO initiated this latest challenge grant as part of the 2012 Springfield Metropolitan Grantmaking Program in response to its emphasis on addressing high-priority community needs – or “red flags” – identified in the Community Focus Reports for Springfield and Greene County.Back to Home
