KSMU “Making a Difference” Segment Focuses on Arts Civility Program

The July edition of KSMU’s “Making a Difference Where You Live” segment aired this morning (and will air again this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.). In it, Mike Smith tells the story of the Springfield Regional Arts Council’s effort to incorporate the tenants of the Be Civil Be Heard project into its Arts in the Park summer program for disadvantaged kids.

The program, which will be studied and reported on by students from Forest Institute, was funded in part by a Community Innovations grant, awarded in April by the CFO.
